SFAR has worked at developing and positioning ourselves as a GENETIC POWERHOUSE with extraordinary and exquisite quality Herdsires - covering the traditional bloodlines which have produced some of the finest alpacas in America. On the ranch are some WONDERFUL & EXCEPTIONAL herdsires that have made significant positive growth impacts on the national herd. Our purchases include bloodlines from -- Accoyo America , Hemingway, Quechua, Legacy, XXXtreme, Elite, Matrix and more. Our purpose was to foundationally maintain our commitment to breeding for a better tomorrow from genetics that have brought to where we are today. Our stable is deep with these great genetics.

Our focus has modified. We no longer breed with the goal of a blue ribbon or colour championship in mind. We breed looking forward to an industry breed standard. Our industry lacking an explicit breed standard is a serious weakness. The real winners edge in breeding is in the fleece of these extraordinary alpacas. Strawberry Fields breeds with the commitment to an industry stabilizing goal of producing alpacas that produce fleece usable at all levels of product production and a sustainable North American marketable product.
