This will be the fourth annual Alpaca Pet Sale day at the ranch. Everyone is welcome! In the alpaca world only 5% to 9% of boys that are born have the characteristics to be herdsires (in alpaca language that is a male alpaca that has the right stuff and will be used as a breeding male in the herd).

Just because they are not breeding male status does not mean they are without purpose.
Non breeding males can be a producer of fine fleece year in and year out. They can produce fleece to be processed into many products from scarfs and shalls to shoe insoles. They are fun pets! They are also a very low cost of maintenance animal.
The Alpaca Boutique will be open for those interested in the vast products that come from these fascinating animals. If interested you could go home with a pet alpaca for a small adoption fee.
